Duck Factory

The Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Mt St Helens and the mighty Mississippi river
are just a few of the incredible natural wonders that we Americans should be proud of. In my opinion, a greatly overlooked wonder is the beauty and
importance of the Prairie Pothole Region of North Dakota. Thousands of years ago
decaying glaciers created tens of thousands of small depressions that
filled with water when the glaciers melted. This 276 square mile expanse is
home to the majority of our nation’s waterfowl, as well as hundreds of
different species of migratory birds. The combination of rolling hills covered by corn, bean and
wheat fields complimented by cat tail lined shallow water potholes is truly
breathtaking. The Prairie Pothole Region is an area of the United States you must see, especially if you are an avid waterfowl hunter. Enjoy our short film documenting our journey north in October of 2012.
