HFT Boise – The Egyptian

Backcountry & Sitka Display

The crowd checking out Backcountry Hunters & Anglers

After a visit to Ketchum, ID with Ryan Callaghan who is one of the most respected Elk hunters in the Northwest, we loaded up our rig and hit the highway headed for Boise, ID. We had one night in Boise to scour the town and run a little Hunting Film Tour street team, inviting locals that haven’t heard about our show.

The Boise landmark – Egyptian Theater Marqee

Show time at the Egyptian Theater kicked off on time promptly at 7:00. Film makers Bryan Huskey (Endless September) and Mark Warnke with Outdoors International both attended the event, sharing their experiences and excitement, being an integral part of the first annual Hunting Film Tour. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation had an amazing elk painting from Ed Anderson on display in the lobby and the Corey Jacobsen crew from Elk101.com had Sitka Gear on display to try on for size. Also in attendance were the Idaho Archery Company, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and Chad Linton with Linton Outdoors.

Today is the opening of Antelope Archery season in Idaho. The crew has loaded up the truck and set sail towards Idaho Falls for our show tonight at 7:00. Making a pit stop at Twin Falls (the BASE jumping capitol of the world!) to see where Evel Knievel attempted his most famous jump over the Snake River.

See you down the road,
The HFT road crew…
